《声律启蒙》作者车万育（1632~1705年），字双亭，号鹤田，湖南邵阳人。康熙甲辰进士，官至兵科给事中。性刚直，直声震天下，至性纯笃，学问赅博。
诗词和对联是中国古代重要的文学形式，两千多年来一直薪火相传，至今仍具有强大的生命力。在古代，自私塾的幼童起，就开始这种文学修养的训练，对声调、音律、格律等都有严格的要求。
